Will closing/ hiding a photoshop window (i.e. the navigator window) when in Photoshop speed the program up at all? A coworker swares that it does. If so, is it much of a noticeable effect?

If it matters, please assume that this is running on a computer with 2 gigs of ram, dual proc. and a descent graphics card.

Any documentation would be helpful.

What did your tests reveal?

No it won’t make any difference. According to posts here from Adobe’s tech-ni-geeks Photoshop once it uses memory it does not release it until you fully exit the program. Minimizing windows, closing windows doesn’t help.
