I have Photoshop CS2. OS is Windows XP SP2 with 4GB RAM and a hard drive with 772GB of free space. None of the healing brush tools or the clone (stamp) tool work now even though they did at one time. I also have Photoshop Elements 5 installed on this desktop and the healing brush tool doesn’t work on it either. These tools DO work on a laptop that has the same programs installed.
The only difference I can think of between the desktop and the laptop is that I had Photoshop CS3 beta installed on the desktop at one time, but have uninstalled it.
I have tried repairing the Photoshop installation and even uninstalling and reinstalling it, but the problem persists. It appears the healing brush is working because the action shows up in the history tab, but absolutely nothing happens to the image I am trying to correct. I’m sure there must be a simple explanation for this problem, but after searching through the forums and Adobe’s knowledge base, I haven’t come up with an answer. Help, please.
