The 14n, SLR/n and SLR/c are excellent cameras if you like for photos using your white or gray background to come out green on one side and magenta on the other side. The 14n is especially good if you like red circles in the middle of your photos. If you have more conventional tastes, avoid the Kodak cameras like the plague.

I use my 14n to take minimalist photos. For example, see

But I gotta think of some other subjects besides a gray card.

Assuming this isn’t a put-on, why on earth haven’t you returned it?
That’s
just horrible.

I haven’t returned it because Kodak claims it is working normally. Here is one of their emails:
As we have explained previously there are shooting situations with some lenses (most notably the 60mm AF Micro when it is focused closer than 3 feet) when even the manual settings will not correct the color balance completely. It is simply a known limitation of the imager. Your camera is performing nominally and there is nothing to fix. Some of these issues are addressed with the upcoming 14NX imager upgrade that will be available for US customers at a cost of $1495. However, even this imager has it limitations, which Kodak is working to improve upon with future firmware updates.

The imager upgrade (which costs US$1495.00 even if your camera is under warranty) uses the same imager as in the SLR/n and SLR/c. Many people have found that the SLR/n produces worse magenta/ green discoloration than the 14n.
