Select the radio button next to the "H".

In the Color Picker, there are two columns of little circles next to the big square color display. The column on the left is labeled HSB, etc…. Click the H circle (radio button).

If that’s the problem. Not sure it is. Are you in Quickmask mode maybe?

If all else fails, reset Preferences as per the FAQs.

Can you describe the problem a little more thoroughly? What is actually happening? If you can, include a screen shot of the Color Picker.

Look for the "H" in your Color Picker.

Click on the button to the left of it.

Fixed.

Just like John said in the first reply.

" plus when i open pictures they are pink. "

That’s an entirely separate issue. Fix this one first.

Show us another screen shot of your Color Picker dialogue window, with the "H" button selected.

And please use <http://www.pixentral.com> to host your image. It’ll create a smaller thumbnail image which won’t break the forum’s tables.

Thanks!

OK…you have some messed up color management going on, and you need to calibrate your monitor.

Have a look here:

Then, here, and pay particular attention to Section 1 on Monitor Calibration: <http://www.computer-darkroom.com/ps9_colour/ps9_1.htm>

Try resetting the preferences: it sometimes cures weird behaviour.

See the FAQs <http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.ef4a07f/1>

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.

I presume colours are normal in other programs?
