Hi – Using PhotoShop CS on Windows XP. My program just started not doing the bold, blue mouseover event when the cursor is placed on a command at the top of the page such as File, Edit, Image, Layer, etc. These commands still work though. This is a minor irritant, but I really liked it where the command would go bold and blue on a mouseover event.

Sounds like you have changed your display settings, Richard. Different Windows Theme possibly?

Len – I have not made any changes to Windows. In fact, my other programs such as Word and Excel still behave normally on a mouseover event of the top page commands.

Well, mine have never gone Bold as far as I can remember, but they do highlight (my highlight color is gray). I am running a theme though. My only suggestion is trash/reset Preferences as per the FAQs. That might help.

Ed – I deleted the Preferences file per the FAQs. That did not help. My mouseover of the top of page commands still does not highlight the command, but the commands still work.

Maybe it’s a mouse driver setting. You can set it to highlight on mouseover or on clicking once, in some mouse control panels.

Bob – I don’t find anything in my mouse control for this. However, my mouseover event works normally in other programs such as Word and Excel. It only quit working properly in PhotoShop the other day.

Thanks to all who responded. After all my failed attempts to fix this issue, I rebooted my computer and my problem was fixed. Thanks again.
