Anybody Know Why This is Happening?

Starting a couple of weeks ago the magic wand began doing weird things.

Here’s an example of the kind of thing it does. This is repeatable — it does the same thing every time if you click in the same place on the same picture.

Obviously, this makes the tool pretty much useless.

I am thinking your preferences got wonked. Try trashing them and see if that cures it.

You’ve got 5×5 or 21×21 in the eyedropper options. These settings impact the magic wand.

Now that that’s been sussed out for you, I’d like to remind you that your thread titles ought to describe something specific about your question, rather than some version of "Please help with with this".

That was it. Be nice if they displayed that setting when using the magic wand so you would realize it affects the tool
