A short while ago (windows CS3) I had a option that allowed me to change from windows style to "photoshop/adobe?" style save diagloge windows.

The photoshop version allowed me to SAVE FAVORITES (most used save location paths). I used that option a lot. Somehow – I lost this option in my setup. (I may have reset prefs or some such to eliminate problems that appear rather frequently… or a crash may have cleared my prefs… no matter…

the problem is – I can’t find where I had turned this option on before!? Can anyone help me toggle this preferred save diaglog style.

(searching help – NO help – of course)

You need to enable version cue in your preferences.

Thanks – I’m missing something though – I did this (found it in bridge prefs) must I reboot? I had turned most of that stuff off since I don’t need MEETING and STOCK photos.

It appeared there was some version cue loader and I didn’t need more things sucking up ram if i didn’t need them. So I toggled version cue back on and still doesn’t work. But I suspect I need to reboot?

thanks

Got it back – Thanks John! Is it I just am not finding it or is this stuff not in the help files?

The Help files are not very helpful.

Help has got slower and more inscrutable in recent versions.

It’s all to do with the browser they misuse.

It’s a shame… (bad help data) but typical of all software companies. Even MSFT… I’ve YET to find any solution on MSFT windows online help database. All the help offered are things I tried WELL before resorting to "HELP".

The help always has totally stupid things that one would just try themselves… like "plug in computer into wall" Or "hold mouse and drag icon" and NEVER ANY REAL SOLUTIONS for those of us that aren’t complete idiots.

thanks again-
