I have problem in Photoshop CS4 and saving files loaded from LR2.1.
Problem 1: If I open a raw file as smart object from LR 2.1, edit file choose Save As to rename file and save file as PSD, the new Save As file name shows correct and is now my working file.
Then if I make further edits and choose SAVE, now the name of the file is new which is used when loading from LR not my SAVEAS name and I’m working on a new file not the one I just did Save As to create. All future SAVES are to the wrong file, not to the SAVEAS but to the file name loaded from LR.
Problem 2: Load several raw files from LR as Merge to Panorama into CS4, the name of the file reflects only one file, so change name via Save As. I’m now working on the Saved As file.
Make further edits on the new file and now Save. The name changes to the LR2.1 naming stlye and the file I was working on is not loaded any more but a new one and the save is not into to my new PSD Save As file.
You loose the edits you saved when the Save As file was loaded, the edits are now in a new file and the Save As file is no longer loaded in CS4.
CS4 will not let me Save As and allow further Saves to this file in one editing session. I have tried this over and over, it always does a Save to another file not the new Save As file.
This problem is repeatable on my computer.
