a quick question about Photoshop 7 that has me confused.

Opening the program last night prompted me with a question regarding what color system setting I preferred as the standard setting.

Picking the RGB 16 million colors setting as my choice, the program proceed to delete every defined fill pattern I had saved and now refuses to accept any new ones for background fill no matter how may times I use the define pattern option.

My own brush pattern files were left alone and still exist, it just the fill option pattern that’s gotten junked completely.

Would someone with a bit of know how in the area tell me just how I messed up the program and maybe give me a way to fix it?

I’d rather not have to do a complete reinstall of the program.

Small update.

The system seems to have locked any new image as agrey scale file, rather annoying since i have no idea what i did, or even why this has happened.

To top it off, Adobe can’t be reached for an explanation and the help function gives me a headache since I have to go through every single topic with color in it.

Took the easy way out and tried a re install, yielded no sulotion, but gave me this rather baffeling message to confuse me with for the rest of the night.

You currently have Adobe photoshop’s primary Scratch and windows’ primary paging file on the same volume, which can result in reduced performance. it is recommended that you set adobe photoshop’s primary scratch volume to be on a differnt volume, perferably on a different physical drive.
