How to convert text to an image

Dear all,

I was trying to convert text to an image ie. the written text ‘TEXT’ to an image with ‘TEXT’ in it.

But that didn’t work. Please let me know the step by step procedure for the same as early as possible.

Kokila, you can rasterize the text to turn it into pixels by right clicking on the text layer and choosing rasterize. Is this what you mean?
