Is there a way to import text from Word and keep it editable in Photoshop. I tried drag and drop, however I can not edit it this way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Sal.

Perhaps you are using the Type Mask tool instead of the regular Type tool. Make sure you are on the "T" not the broken outline "T".

what verson of photoshop are you usint sal? I think you might have to have
v.6 or 7.

I am hoping that some day that PS will have a fit text to path feature.

I have v. 7.01. I am using the regular type tool. But the text is still not editable. Once I paste from Word it just becomes an image layer not a text layer.

PSCS does have fit text to path capability. Also, you can draw any shaped path and fit the text within that shape. Pretty nice.

You have to get the Type tool and make a text layer then paste in at the cursor.
