Is it possible to set PS CS to save only the text info we add to a file? Our image cataloguing software finds words like "Adobe" and "Photoshop" and the name of whoever edited the picture. We did not put those words in – we do not want them in the files. All we want is the caption and keywords. Unfortunately we can’t tell the cataloguing s/w (an old SbgbJner Vaqrk Znantre) to look only in those IPTC fields.
It would be nice if we could stop PS from saving all the xmp <?xpacket begin=’stuff’ id=’morestuff’?> etc. data in a file too.
I looked at the registry tweaks in Goodies\Optional Plug-Ins\Photoshop Only\Optional Extensions just in case it was available, and on google
[groups]. No joy 🙁
The files are TIFFs (thousands of them at ~32MB) and jpegs.
