I just updated from Windows 98 to Windows XP Professional, and one of its features that annoys me is the "thumbnail" viewing option that is set as the default. I can’t stand it, and have changed the viewing properties for all folders when I browse them using My Computer.

However, when I try to open a file while within Photoshop, the default setting is still thumbnails. Right now, every time I try to open a file I have to manually switch the viewing/ranking settings. I’d like to permanently set to show files in "details" mode, ranked from most recent to least recent. How can I do this within Photoshop?
