7.0 upgrade

i have 7.0 ps and have it running on other computer ok. i’ve tried to install on a new computer, HP emachine, 512k memory, 2.3 gightz. after installing i click to open and it cycles through all the names and then just disappears. doesn’t load and open. i’ve tried to upgrade over 6.0 and it still loads into a separate folder. it leaves 6.0 installed. i’ve tried several times, with 6.0 and without.
any ideas?

are you using the same license number, and are the two instances on a network?
