We recently got a new rip called Photoscript… don’t think too many people are using it. Regardless, the rip only accepts .ps files. From what i gather, the image files needs saved as a .ps file, then it can be dumped into the rip. How can I save a Photoshop or TIF file as a postscript file? I am working on Photoshop 6, using the Win2000 Pro operating system. I can easily do this on my Mac, but does anyone know how to do it on a PC?

You cannot save from Photoshop as PostScript (perhaps the RIP would also pick up EPS files? Ours will, and but YMMV). You need to print to file.

Use the Adobe PostScript driver installer to set up a new printer, using the correct PPD for the RIP, and set the port to FILE:. This will create a PostScript file that you can use to drop in the RIP, run through Distiller, etc.
