PS CS Pinging Internet When Opening?!!

I use CA EZ Firewall software…and after installing the upgrade of PS CS I have found out that evertime I open PS CS it pings the Internet…why in the world would this software ping the Internet upon opening, except for tracking purposes?

I suspect Adobe now wants to know when and how much we are using PS?

Anyone else run into this?
