I recently noticed a problem in my Windows Explorer – whenever I try to select a file (or files) it seems that it takes forever for the computer to respond. I thought that this was my computer but I am finding that it is not. Three other people in my office are having the same problem and it seems that the one thing we have in common is that we have all just recently installed Photoshop CS. Could Photoshop be the cause?
We are all running Windows XP, Dual Xeon P4’s with 2 gig RAM and over 600 gigs of SATA hard disk space, 256 mb Video card. On duplicate systems that do not have CS installed the Windows Explorer problem is not happening, which is why I am pointing my finger at CS.

Is there anybody else that is running into a similar situatin?

We notice that Windows Explorer sometimes crashes when CS is first opened with Explorer also open. And have noticed other random crashes of Explorer when open in the background and using CS. Can’t really trace anything other than that.

Windows XP, P4 3.2 mhz, 2 gb ram, lots of hd space.
