using masks in other images

well, i have three images that are same and the only dif. is the color. i dont want the white background that in there. i made a mask for one image. but i dont want to recreate it for every single one of the pictures. any way to reuse the mask. please explain in simple english.

This is one of those things where it’s easier to do than to explain.

First, though, this will make a difference: Is it a vector or raster mask?

Maybe the terms are a bit confusing.

Let’s say you have made a selection. I do not know of any way of copying a selection to antoher image directly (which does not mean there isn’t one). But you can go indirectly:

Save the selection (then it is called an alpha-channel). You can save the selection directly into a channel of another image if that is opened already. Or you save the channel in first image and copy it into the second image. Then you transfer channel -> selection (load channel as selection).

If you start not with a selection, but with a layer mask, I recommend a similar way: Copy Layer mask to channel, copy channel to other image, copy channel to layer mask there.
