Where can I find various textures? Such as the nice granite one seen in the backdrop of this site :

Is there a texture source somewhere on the internet? It doesn’t have to be loop-able. It can be just a plain photo image.

Well you could try:

www.google.com and type in Photoshop or Illustrator followed by textures.

In the meantime try these:

www.mayang.com/textures
www.3dcafe.com
www.thepluginsite.com

Then, there’s always software:

Gliftic 4: www.ransen.com
Genetica: www.spiralgraphics.biz
PhotoSEAM: www.mediachance.com (and while you’re there look at the wonderful RealDRAW Pro)

That should keep you busy for a couple of years or so… 😉

Try http://www.autofx.com. On the top menu there is an option for free stuff including some really nice textures. Most are seamless if I remember correctly.
