Updating Adobe . . . Components . . .

I really don’t want to sound paranoid but . . .
frequently, just as I open Adobe Photoshop, Version 7, I am greeted by a pop-up screen that says:

"Updating Adobe Online components from Adobe.com
Downloading File 2 of 2…
No personal information is being transmitted (reassuring!) File: AWEBDFiles4.awe" etc.

Does anyone know what all this means? Are there so many enhancements that my program is frequently being improved for free, thanks to Adobe?

Just set your Adobe Online to never check for updates – there will be no updates for version 7 now that CS has been released
