Hi

I’d like to know if its possible to get an effect like this (see link) in PhotoShop from a photograph. And if it is some basic instructions to get me started or a link to a tutorial.

absolutely, though I’d say the image was produced in a vector art package, (ala Illustrator).

The image shown doesn’t have the necessary contrast, color changes, or details to map out the lines by themselves with something like "Find Edges". Shot from a different angle under different light, maybe. But it looks to me like the graphic part of it was either taken from another photograph or simply ‘freehanded’ in.
