Does anyone know of a tutorial which shows how to create the look of the scalloped edge that used to come on 50’s era snapshots. It was similar to a postage stamp look, only larger "scallops". I have a number of picures I’d like to make look like they were from the 50’s. Any help would be appreciated.

Play with the brush spacing settings with a hard edged brush eraser tool. Probably 125% or so will do it. Then place the brush on the edge of the border, hold the shift key down and move the brush across the edge. —

Great idea Jeff. I’d have been placing circles on a grid to create the " Deckle" edge, or looking in my FX PhotoEdges CD’s for one. Your method is so much simpler!!!! As yet, I have not needed this info, but one can never tell. Now, all I have to do is remember your technique. Thanks for the Christmas gift.

My pleasure. With a little experimentation and research of tutorials on the web, you’ll find that most of the edge effects that you have on the CD are probably easily accomplished in manners similar to this one.

Have a safe holiday season. If you drink, don’t drive, and if you drive, don’t drink.
