Hi guys,
I am confused, i am trying to do some color correction, the pic was in RGB (if i go to Curves, and i CTRL + Click – to adjust a color-, it works fine ) but if i change the mode to CMYK i can not pinpoint the point to color correct by clicking (CTRL+click) on the picture, why?

thx
jim

Hi Jim,

Ctrl click will work on the individual color curves in CMYK, just not on the CMYK master curve. This is by design, and I think one reason is because the K channel does not particularly line up with the other channels, so adjusting the master curve can be unpredictable.

The master curve is may not be doing quite what you expect it to do, even in RGB mode, which is why it’s usually better to use the info palette and adjust the individual channels.
