Dear Group:

When I used to use Paint Shop Pro, there was a screen capture function. Is there something similar in Photoshop CS?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, no. I have PSP, so I know exactly what you’re referrin to. With PSP we can select the window or pallet within a program, selected area, or the entire window (which anyone can do).

This would be a nice addition to PS

Lynn, you can hit the Print Screen on the keyboard to make a copy of the full screen to the Clipboard or use Alt + Print Screen key to copy the active window to the Clipboard. Then just open a New document in PS and paste the clipboard item into the new document. Otherwise, as far as I know there is know better way. I use a small program called snag it that gives you more control over what is selected and saved to the clipboard. Sounds like PSP uses that kind of plug-in.
