Adobe CS activation error message asks me to reinstall

Photoshop CS runs for a few minutes, then I get the following error message with an "Adobe Activation" heading: "An error has been detected and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application." I’ve reinstalled Photoshop CS several times, and eventually the same error message returns. Any ideas on how to stop this nonsense?
