ps cs does not recognize new color profiles

for some unaccountable reason, ps cs does not recognize new color profiles and continues to list old deleted profiles both in print with preview>color management>print space>profile and color settings>working spaces>rgb.

should i reinstall cs over old or deinstall and reinstall? if i reinstall over the old, do i need to reinstall updates? or, is there another easier solution?

my computer uses xp pro with latest patches, 2 gigs of ram, and plenty of disc space.
