Hi,
Occasionally I want to use the layer style as an effect but only on a certain part of the layer, not the rest. OFTEN…. the layer style acts with the layer below to achieve my effect.
EXAMPLE: I have picture of my clothes dryer. I want to make a sad face on it with a crumbly mouth. I duplicate the dryer image layer. I place a dark gray layer below this. I cut out a section on the dryer image layer that looks like a crumbly mouth and the dark shows thru. NOW… to get my crumbly lip effect, I apply a bevel emboss style to the dryer image layer.
ALTHOUGH this works FINE, the corners of the dryer image layer also has the bevel emboss effect, with I don’t want it on the whole layer, just the mouth cut out section.
Any ideas.. OR BETTER YET.. Point me to a tutorial
