The area of the screen outside of the editing area of Image Ready used to be a light gray color. This would make it easy for me to see where the editing area ends because there would be a black line then the non-editing area space begins. Now it is all black and I don’t know how to change it. I have tried everything. PLEASE HELP ME!

Did "everything" include hitting the "F" key?

have you tried using the paint bucket tool and holding the shift key and clicking in the blacvk area with a new foreground color selected?

There are 3 buttons at the bottom of the tool bar.

the left one is no background

the middle one is grey background

the right one is black background

Oh, I don’t know about Doug, Ann; but I read your post before realizing whom it was from and thought someone wasn’t too happy about something.

The guy whose background went black was the only unhappy one. I thought that tapping out a little tune in F Major would put him back in good spirits.
