how do you paste paths from illustrator to cs photoshop? when i paste a path it doesnt give me any options.

This is an Illustrator issue. In Illustrator, under your Clipboard Preferences, you need to have "Preserve Paths" checked. From then on your paste in Photoshop will bring up the familiar dialog. This was a really simple but poorly documented change in Illustrator.

Thanks for this tip, same issue was driving me nuts, never would have thought to look in Illustrator’s preferences.
