When a selection is saved is it stored in the image as an alpha channel or is it separate? Would the saved selection be available in other programs? If not does the Hidden Elements provide this feature? TIA

jwh,

A saved selection in Elements 2 is stored as an Alpha Channel and will be readable in Photoshop. Can’t vouch for other apps, but any app that can read a Photoshop Alpha should work fine.
