Can anyone help please? I can’t start up Photoshop 7.01 under OSX (can be opened in Classic, but crashes out easily). I get an Application Launch Failure message, with the following text:

The application "Photoshop" could not be launched beacuse of a shared library error: "%<application><application><MathLib><>"

Does anyone know what this means? Thanks for your help!

Had you installed Photoshop in Mac OS 9.x and then upgraded to OS X? You need to reinstall Photoshop under your current OS. Even if that had not been the case, you need to reinstall Photoshop anyway.

Trash Photoshop’s preferences file, delete the old Photoshop folder (saving anything you may have added there like actions and 3rd party plug-ins) and reinstall.

Also, Repair Permissions (with Apple’s Disk Utility) before and after reinstalling Photoshop.
