CS2 crashes when trying to change color of text

I have an image document with 10 layers. Two of the layers have text. When I go to change the color of one of the layers, Photoshop CS2 crashes. It happens every time I try to change the color of the text for this particular file with CS2. Doing the same operation with CS1 works fine and as expected – it only crashes with CS2

I’m running Windows XP Pro + SP2 on a dual Xeon 1.7G system with 1G RAM.
