File size from PSD to EPS doesn’t stay consistant. Shouldn’t EPS be smaller (compressed), not 4 times as big

Shouldn’t EPS be smaller (compressed), not 4 times as big

Not usually, depends on what your eps encoding method is. You can get PSD file sizes if you use JPEG encoding when saving the eps
