hello,
I am having a real pain in the neck opening photoshop jpgs in flash and also illustrator. The problem being that the colours are not matching up, the contrast is good, but the colours look slightly blue and dull. The photoshop workspace is set up to apple RGB 1998 and the images all look perfect. For flash I have saved for web and made sure, I have selected the ‘use document colour profile’ box. The images are all saved at a good quality. I am really baffled as to how to solve this problem any help would be much appreciated.

Regards
maxine

Why AppleRGB?
I would switch to a 2.2 gamma space.
And "calibrate" a 2.2 monitor profile.

Then Image> Mode > CONVERT to sRGB (when you target the file for the www)…

Proof this page in an unmanaged web browser:

Still, "slightly blue and dull" AppleRGB leads me to suspect a bad monitor profile or other color-management setting — try SOFTPROOFING your Photoshop color in Windows RGB.

That’s: PS> View> Proof Setup: Windows RGB

Maxine,

There’s no such thing, so I assume you meant Adobe RGB 1998.

What G Ballard says.
