Can someone shed any light, or point me in the right direction, as to why Pshop CS drastically bloats/increases the file size from Pshop 5.5?

For instance: A jpg file that was saved in v5.5 (after adding keywords) resulted in a 52KB file. When I open this file in CS to edit the keywords, then simply save the file, the file size bloats to 112KB. Adding one keyword doubles the file size?

Thanks for any advice,
Eric

Most likely you are embedding profiles, XMP data, etc. in CS and weren’t in 5.5.

Chris: Thanks for the response. That’s the mystery…I’m not embedding a color profile, XML data, in/decreasing the jpg compression, or anything else I’m aware of. All I’m doing is editing one (or two) keywords, and the file size bloats.

If you’re adding keywords, then you are saving XMP data….
