Transferring PSE 1 from computer to computer

I recently bought a new computer and want to transfer Photoshop Elements 1 over to my new computer. The original program was preloaded onto the old computer, so I do not have the disk, however I do have the activation number. Any suggestions on how to make this move happen? Thanks Steve

Stephen,

You can’t just move a program from one computer to another. It takes an installation disk (or program) to INSTALL a program. Install files and working files are NOT the same. Without the installation program it won’t work. If the program was already on your computer and it wasn’t included in the Restore CD then you need to purchase Elements (or get it bundled with another device) to put it on your new computer.
