Adobe Open File dialogue doesn’t refresh thumbnails reliably

Bridge refreshes thumbnails quickly enough, but if I replace a file with an entirely different image, the Adobe Open dialogue (as distinct from the OS Open dialogue) does not change the thumbnail reliably: it will be one thing in Bridge, and another in the Adobe dialogue. Often I am stuck with very old thumbnails for files in that dialogue.
