On installing the new CS on a PowerBook G4 running Panther, the following error message appeared: "Unable to initialize Photoshop because of a program error". I have deleted the folder and tried reinstalling the software a number of times, but no change. Anyone have any ideas?

Good thought!

If you are in the UK, do NOT choose GMT but choose your nearest city instead.

Thanks for the responses, but no joy. In the extreme should I just back up the disk, reformat it, reinstall the OS, and just restore the data? I get the sense with the reading on the site referred to that there is something corrupted that is getting in the way of Photoshop initialising.
