Receiving dialogue box when printing to Espon 2200 from PS CS & 7– — "some features such as emulsion, etc are eliminated when printing with a non-postscript printer". Prints are streaked vertically, and there is some bleeding of colors. Same prints are perfect from photodeluxe and elements. Looking for a solution. GTG

George,

The error message is normal and harmless. It’s simply reminding you that your printer is not a PostScript printer. Just ignore the message and choose not to have it show up again.

As for the other issue:

Prints are streaked vertically, and there is some bleeding of colors. Same prints are perfect from photodeluxe and elements.

Are you saying you get perfect prints on the very same printer (not just another Epson 2200) from other applications but not from Photoshop? That would indeed be strange. What you describe are clearly artifacts caused by a printer malfunction and/or bad paper (Kodak paper on an Epson will do that, for instance). Please clarify that.

Ignoring the message doen’t improve prints. The printer is the same 2200, & I’m using Epson paper.

The message doesn’t affect the quality of the prints. It’s a routine message, and it doesn’t have anything to do your issue.

Please describe those "vertical streaks". It sounds definitely like a printer malfunction. However, the "perfect" prints from other applications are puzzling. Have you tried printing from Elements or PhotoDeluxe AFTER you experienced the problem?

I assume of course that you’ve tried running a nozzle check and followed all the troubleshooting instructions in the Epson user manual.

Print settings from the different programs, what kind of Epson paper and what print settings? Same or different image?

Vertical streaks mean either bad paper or a printer malfunction.

Good Prints came from other software after priinting from P CS & 7. A nozzel check done. Vertical bands are half- in. apart( grayish color).
Dialogue Box reads :- Some postscript settings (Emusion, interpolation, calibration, encoding), will be ignored since you are printing to a non-postscript printer. Thanks

Printing on Epson Pre. Glossy 8×10 Borderless. Occurs 5×7 and 4×6 also

Thank you
