Hi,

Is it possible to, and can someone please tell me how to mask the effects of a layer only, but not the actual pixels? I know how to mask both, but I want to mask only the effects. Thanks.

Stan

You’ll have to be more explicit. What effects on a layer? Are there layer effects? Where are they coming from? Etc…

If you right-click on the Layer Style icon on a layer, you can choose "Hide All Effects" from the contextual menu. This will hide all layer styles in the document.

Or, if you just want so hide specific layer styles, you can click on the eyeball (turn on/off) for that individual style/layer.

Hope that answers your question.

Rasterize the effects (create layer) and then mask the newly created layers?
