Is there a way to import pictures? I can’t seem to find a way how to do this.

Uhm… File|Open doesn’t work? What type of file are you trying to import and why choose Import?

Well, I want to import a photo as a layer. When I do what you suggested, it opens a new window/project.

Michael,

Select-Select All.
Edit-Copy

Go to the image that should have it as a new layer.
Edit-Paste.

It’s now on it’s own layer. You can move it around, resize it etc.

Or, open it and drag it onto the destination image using the move tool.

With your first image open, go FILE>PLACE then navigate to the image you want to "import".

This has an added advantage in that the "imported" image will be a "smart object" which can be resized non-destructively as many times as you wish.
