I have a boring black background and I need to make it look "shiny" or reflective. Not too shiny, just a little bit. Help?

Well, the illusion of shiny-ness would, I suppose invole elements of a lighter color. Just what you have in mind is unclear.

You can play with gradients, explore some of the layer style options, or you can go to Adobe Exchange < http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm#view=sn710&a mp;viewName=Photoshop%20Exchange&loc=en_us> and search for some styles. If you had an image of the sort of thing you’re after, you can post it on the web and tell us the link; you’ll get more help that way.
