Using PE1, Win XP and an HP 970 Deskjet with the latest print driver from HP:
Is there any way to convince PE1 that my available print margins are way larger than it thinks? I’m doing a booklet cover for my wife’s garden club. It’s actual dimensions are 8.5 x 5.5 with minimal whitespace around the edges to fill half of a 8.5 x 11 page. I can easily get it to print centered on the top half of the page by rotating the image 90 degrees left and using print preview with settings of Top = -0.2 and Left = -0.5 (those are negative dimensions) but when I click Print PE1 informs me that the image is outside the possible margins and clipping will occur. The result is a perfect print 5/32" from the top of the paper and about 5/16" from each side with no clipping at all. Would be nice if PE1 could know what the available print area really is.
