I am using the Adobe CS2 Suite, and have been for about 6 months. No reinstallation, no major changes in the past couple of days except for defragmenting the drive. Have enough space on drive. Computer works as usual. Even PSD still works fine.

Suddenly last night while I was working on some big files the active image area would disappear. But yesterday, once I tried opening the file again the document window reappeared. Today, even in trying to open smaller jpgs, the window won’t show up.

The layers show. The image shows in the navigator. Everything seems fine. Except I cannot see the actual image in the workspace.

Please help asap.

Thank you!

The new version of Photoshop has the ability to "roll up" so that your image area would disappear (why, I don’t know – I absolutely hate it). You can maximize the Photoshop workspace to get it back, or, drag the lower portion of the part that does display until it suits you.
