Hey guys

It’s been quite a while now since Photoshop stop showing the composite image of a document. Every time I select a PSD document in the Open dialog box, the preview image does not show. When I tried to do a displacement, I get a text that says "This layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image" – I don’t remember doing anything with any of the default settings. Does anybody have a clue how to fix this?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I don’t see that option in the Save As dialog box when I save as a PSD. Am I missing something here?

Check your Photoshop preferences. You probably unchecked the box as well as the one telling the application to ask you every time.

I found that option in the Photoshop Preferences under the File Handling and it did solve the problem.

Thanks a lot for your help!
