Just bought a Nikon SuperCoolScan 9000 ED, and while it does a good job on color negs and chromes, the B&W’s are terrible. There are some other irritating problems with this Nikon, such as the poor design of the 35mm film holders which allow the film to slide out of place during the preview, the lack of a "preview upon inserting the holder" option, changing to positive when you insert a negative, then displaying the negative as a negative, etc. Anyway, it’s going back and I’m still looking for a good film scanner. Any suggestions?
