I don’t think that anyone is going to be able to give you a concrete diagnosis on this.

All that comes to mind, for me, are the usual trouble-shooting questions:

– Did the program EVER work correctly?

– If so, did you install hardware/software, download update, etc., right before it went bad?

– Are you running other apps concurrently?

– Have you tried deleting Elements Preferences?

– Have you tried re-installing Elements?

All of the above are simply generic starting-points. Regretfully, error messages like the one you quote are seldom explicit enough to pinpoint the exact problem.

And to add to Byron’s list – do you have any antivirus software disabled during the installation process?

We’re assuming a Windows platform here, but what operating system?
