no raw/jpg thumbs in Bridge

Question for you experts. A friends G5 wont show thumbs for raw or jpgs in Bridge (CS3-v2.1.1.9) anymore. No placeholder frame, just complete solid color chosen in preferences for UI.

I tried F5….nothing. Tried purging cache but Bridge locks up and sits and spins forever. Bridge is so locked up that I cant even force quit, have to hard reboot. also cleared preferences. Might have to reinstall but was leaving that to the last if possible.

Computer with updated/current Tiger. 5 or so gigs of RAM/dual 2.0 ghrtz.

Any ideas? I’ll reinstall monday but if anyone know of anything else I can try first…that would just be peachy.

Try Option, Command (Apple) and ESC keys, which should take you to the Finder’s Force Quit menu.
