Hello all members of the Adobe Photoshop community! I am Jason Weinberg, a new member to the Adobe Photoshop PS2 software and these forums. Very pleased to meet you! I am designing my very first signature, and I want a part of the image I selected to be shinier/brighter. How is this done? Many thanks!

Hi Jason,

One good way to find answers to such questions as yours, is to do a Google Search on "photoshop tutorial", adding words appropriate to what you’re looking for. Rather than "shiny", I did a Google search using the words photoshop, chrome, text, tutorial and got many results, one of which is this one: <http://www.eyesondesign.net/pshop/chrometext/chrometext.htm>

Take a look at that tutorial and other similar ones, and you should ge some idea of what to do. What many have in common is the use of the Lighting Effects filter.

Regards,

Daryl
