Just wondering…. I just scanned an image and opened it in photoshop cs2. I want to use the marquee tool to select a 4 x 6 INCHES part of the image but can only get the marquee tool to select in PIXELS value….how do I make the switch from pixels to inches? with that tool? thanks !!

With the marquee tool selected, you’ll see in the options bar a Style drop down.

Select Fixed Size, and type "4 inches" and "6 inches" in the two boxes – this will then allow you to select the 4 by 6 part of the image you want.

Note that the area selected will also depend on the image’s resolution.
